On Thursday 3 November our Volunteer Relationships Coordinator, Lisa attended the International Volunteer Managers Day Forum ‘Embracing Diversity and Collaborating for Success’ hosted by Boroondara Council Volunteer Resource Centre. Lisa was able to hear from local volunteer involving organisation leaders and world-renowned motivational speaker, author and passionate director of volunteers, Nicole R. Smith. The forum also explored the diversity of skills and perspectives in volunteer management and how volunteer managers can work more effectively together through collaboration to get the best outcomes for their volunteers.
Did you know that we have 160 volunteers who work directly with students delivering our Upstander Programs. We have ambitious plans to reach more schools in 2023 and beyond and are actively seeking people to volunteer with us who are passionate about education.
