Helping teachers promote acceptance

Our Upstander Programs are typically delivered to students, but teachers are key in consolidating the attitudinal and behavioural change necessary for an inclusive and accepting community. And teachers can benefit from our workshops as much as their students do.

Available to teachers across Victoria

Aligned with our Department of Education supported Upstander Programs, our PD for teachers raises awareness and informs participants about issues surrounding equality, diversity, racism, discrimination and bystander behaviour.

The program provides insight and tools for teachers to take into their own classrooms to create and cement cultural and behavioural change in their students.

Delivered using both lecture-style communications and interactive group work, our workshops are engaging, educational and transformative.

Key takeaways for teachers

Customised

Tailored to reinforce your key messages and relevant to your HR processes.

Complementary to the curriculum

Informative and empowering

Introduces the concept of an ‘Upstander’ as someone who takes action (rather than supporting the perpetrator by remaining a bystander).

Our Upstander Programs for teacher professional learning are a fee-based social enterprise. As a not-for-profit organisation, this allows us to fund the delivery of our Upstander Program to Victorian school students FREE of charge.

As fees can vary based on your location, size of the group and other factors, please contact us for a tailored quote .

We’re flexible when it comes to time. We’ll be happy to offer our program after hours or on student-free days, and we can deliver it during or outside of the school term.
