Following the Federal Court ruling that Jewish students were not protected from bullying and discrimination when they attended Brighton Secondary College, we are pleased that the school leadership welcomed Courage to Care to provide Upstander education to the entire school.

Every year level — that’s over 900 students — was booked into our Upstander education programs in March. We also provided professional learning for all teachers at the school in advance of the student programs.

Having worked closely with acting Principal Leisa Higgins, we are now looking forward to supporting new Principal Anne Stout.

We acknowledge there is still a way to go but this proactive response from the new school leadership is encouraging and we intend to provide ongoing support in the school’s goal of positive culture change.

Here are some images from our recent programs at the school.
