On Friday 19th May, over 40 volunteers and staff had the opportunity to hear Andrea Zilberman Communications Director of Knit One Give One (KOGO) talk about the incredible work that KOGO do through their network of volunteer knitters across Australia. We were also honored to have KOGO Founder Ros Rogers also in attendance. Ros founded KOGO in 2004 during a particularly cold Melbourne winter. Ros is now a Courage to Care volunteer, telling her dear late Mum’s story of survival as Custodian Speaker in our schools’ program. Apart from hearing from these 2 inspiring change makers we were able to celebrate our own wonderful volunteers whose dedication and commitment are helping to create a generation of Upstanders.
