On Thursday evening 23 November, Courage to Care volunteer Sharryn Goldman received her Local Hero Certificate at the 2023 Caulfield Volunteer Awards at Glen Eira Town Hall. The evening is run by local MP David Southwick and the Bendigo Bank – both great supporters of Courage to Care.
Sharryn has been a Courage to Care Volunteer for many years first in Brisbane and in more recent years in Melbourne. Sharryn facilitates in both the Secondary and Middle Years Upstander Education Programs and is also a Lead Facilitator and Buddy, which means she takes an active role in mentoring new facilitator volunteers.
Sharryn’s commitment and passion was honored with this Certificate, and it was wonderful to see Sharryn receive her award in the presence of her beautiful family including devoted husband Johnny, children and grandchildren.
