AMF is dedicated to protecting children from violence and its devastating impact. The foundation cares for children who have experienced or witnessed serious violence, works to reduce the incidence of bullying (including cyber bullying and other online risks), and advocates for the safety and wellbeing of children.
Beyond Blue provides information and support to help everyone in Australia achieve optimal mental health. There are helpful resources for LGBTIQ+ Australians who may be suffering mental health issues, and Youth Beyond Blue provides resources specifically to support young people.
Bully Zero provides eSafety education and school bullying prevention programs to students. Bully Zero educates participants on both online/cyber bullying and bullying in the schoolyard.
A social media program created by the Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC), Click Against Hate teaches children in primary schools how to respond to a range of issues. They cover topics such as social media bullying, discrimination and online safety.
Courage to Care around Australia

is available in other states.
Since 2000, Courage to Care has enjoyed a partnership with the DET. Their generous grants, funding and support has aided in the expansion and development of our Upstander Programs.
Gandel Holocaust Studies Program for Australian Educators
The Gandel Holocaust Studies Program is a long-term professional development course aimed at training a cadre of expert Holocaust educators. Active and qualified secondary school teachers across Australia from any discipline can join.
Gen2Gen delivers educational programs to Jewish youngsters to raise awareness of the injustices imposed on the victims of genocides, racial intolerance and discrimination. Courage to Care enjoys a supportive and cooperative relationship with Gen2Gen, additionally supporting their initiatives and projects.
Our supportive and cooperative relationship with the Holocaust Museum was established from the beginning of our exhibition program and continues today. The MHM offers visitors a comprehensive overview of the circumstances leading up to the Holocaust, and a full history of that period.
The Jewish Museum of Australia aims to explore and share the Jewish experience in Australia while engaging people in Jewish culture, giving the visitor an introduction to a Jewish life from birth through key events such as bar- and bat-mitzvahs, marriage to death. The Museum offers guided tours and a comprehensive educational program, and was instrumental to the conception and development of the original Courage to Care Exhibition.
March of the Living Australia is a dynamic not-for-profit dedicated to combating intolerance through an inclusive and immersive educational program abroad, centred on Holocaust memorialisation, social justice and creating a powerful connection to Israel, our local community and future generations. Our unique program takes participants where history books can’t, offering an unparalleled and invaluable journey for a lifetime.
Courage to Care are official partners of the Australian Human Rights Commission’s ‘Racism. It Stops With Me’ campaign, urging
Australians to reflect on racism and take action against it.
The campaign aims to support Australians, particularly those
without lived experience of racism, to understand how racism shapes society, and the need for action to address it.
The website, provides resources to support education and action against racism, and features in-depth information about racism in a range of settings including institutional and systemic racism.
It also hosts a Workplace Cultural Diversity Tool,
a free, confidential self-assessment tool for organisations seeking
to strengthen their approach to cultural diversity and anti-racism in the workplace.
Dedicated to the prevention of family violence, Respect Victoria aims to change the norms and structures surrounding violence – and therefore prevent it before it begins.
The Institute’s mission is to develop empathy, understanding, and respect through testimony. The Visual History Archive currently holds more than 55,000 video testimonies, from 65 countries and in 43 languages. Each contains a complete personal history of life before, during, and after the interviewee’s firsthand experience with genocide. The testimonies of our Holocaust survivor speakers are included in that archive.
Stand Up is an Australian Jewish community NFP that actively pursues social justice for all. Stand Up’s three key areas of activity are Refugee Programs, Indigenous Partnerships and Education.
Works with schools to enable their student community to support their peers by offering a channel for anonymous notifications about anyone who may be experiencing bullying or harm and assists the school to create a response framework.
Together For Humanity teaches understanding and respect for all. For nearly two decades, they have been working with school communities to combat prejudice, teaching students how to deal with differences and supporting teachers to create culturally inclusive classrooms. Face to-face and online programs foster greater connection and empathy, and have reached nearly half a million Australians.

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
A living memorial to the Holocaust, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) inspires citizens and leaders worldwide to confront hatred, prevent genocide, and promote human dignity. The USHMM supports the work of Courage to Care by offering access to its valuable resources.
Uncle William Cooper (1860- 1941) was an Indigenous activist and leader of his community, who also saw the injustices of the world around him, at a time when his own people were struggling for acceptance and their place in Australian society. When he heard of Kristallnacht in far off Europe, he organised for a delegation of Indigenous men and women to march to the German consulate in Melbourne, and presented them with a letter condemning the Jewish persecution.
For over half a century, Yad Vashem has been committed to commemorating, documenting, researching, and educating on the Holocaust. Yad Vashem supports the work of Courage to Care by offering access to its valuable resources.
