Recently we acknowledged International Holocaust Rememberance Day. Every year on 27 January, the international community comes together to commemorate the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. This Day was chosen by the United Nations General Assembly to mark the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp in 1945.
We especially acknowledged our Survivor volunteers and their descendants on this day. Remembrance does not end with the survivors; it lives on through their children, their grandchildren, and through all of us. Through our upstander educational programs our volunteers link rememberance to action and that call to action is needed more now than ever.
