Supporting teachers to foster acceptance and inclusion

Teachers play a critical role in shaping attitudes and behaviours that build more inclusive and respectful communities.

Courage to Care’s Teacher Professional Learning  program is aligned with the Australian Professional Standards for Teaching, and complements our curriculum-aligned Upstander Programs in schools. This professional development raises awareness and equips participants with practical strategies to address equality, diversity, racism, discrimination and bystander behaviour in their classrooms.

Through a combination of insights and interactive group activities, teachers gain the knowledge and tools to create meaningful cultural and behavioural change among their students. Sessions are designed to be engaging, practical and transformative, empowering educators to embed inclusive practices across all aspects of school life.
