Thought-provoking conversations to inform our lives as Upstanders

Held on the second Friday of the month, every second month, each Conversation focuses on a topic affecting contemporary society that is directly relevant to Courage to Care. Feel uplifted, more informed, more engaged and and better equipped to speak on the issues.

Coming up: “The Social Media Ban” – Friday 12 December, 10.00am – 12.00pm.

From 10 December 2025, age-restricted social media platforms will be required to take reasonable steps to prevent Australians aged under 16 from creating or maintaining accounts. In this session, we’ll explore why the ban was introduced, how it will be enforced, how effective it’s likely to be, and, importantly, whether there could be any unintended consequences for young people.

You don’t have to review all the material! But you will get the most out of the Conversation if you review just one or two resources in advance. If you don’t have time to prepare, come along anyway! All ideas and reflections are welcome.
