We are seeking a qualified & experienced Training Manager to join our growing team – training our wonderful volunteers to deliver anti-racism Upstander Programs to schools students, you’ll make a real impact

  • Location: Hybrid (Caulfield-based)
  • Employment: 0.8 – 1.0 FTE
  • Reports to: Education Manager

We’re seeking a passionate Training Manager to develop and deliver training for our dedicated volunteer facilitators. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who cares deeply about education, inclusion, and empowering others.

You’ll work with inspiring volunteers—primarily older adults who bring life experience and deep commitment to sharing powerful stories that challenge prejudice and inspire student action.

What You’ll Do

  • Train & Support Volunteers: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs, conduct workshops on facilitation skills and storytelling, provide ongoing mentoring
  • Create Resources: Develop training materials including manuals, templates, video content, and activity guides
  • Manage Digital Systems: Maintain learning management systems, update digital modules, and manage website content using WordPress
  • Quality Assurance: Review and enhance content based on feedback and educational best practices
  • Direct Program Support: Facilitate school sessions and provide on-site volunteer support

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Qualification in education, training, social work, or related field
  • Expert facilitation and presentation skills with experience training others
  • Understanding of educational pedagogy and youth engagement
  • Confidence with digital training resources, LMS, and WordPress
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse volunteers
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Highly Regarded:

  • Not-for-profit or volunteer coordination experience
  • Experience with sensitive storytelling in educational contexts
