Supporting Our Work

The most powerful way to support Courage to Care is with a tax-deductible donation. Every contribution helps us reach more schools and communities with our free programs and directly supports our mission of creating the Next Generation of Upstanders.

If you’d like to get more hands-on, you can also apply to join our incredible volunteer team — sharing your skills, time and energy to bring our impact to life alongside a community of changemakers.

Beyond that, there are many meaningful ways to support us — whether it’s by inviting us into your school or community, raising funds for a special occasion, leaving a legacy gift, or partnering with us through your organisation.

However you choose to support, you’ll be helping thousands of Australians every year find the courage to act with kindness, compassion, and confidence. Read on below for the different ways you can get involved.

Schools & Community Groups

By inviting us to deliver Upstander Programs for your school, community group or organisation, you play a vital role in helping spread our message of kindness, compassion and confidence – empowering Upstanders in communities right across Australia.

While our programs are free, donations are encouraged and deeply appreciated to help us keep reaching those who need it most.

Is there a suggested donation amount?

That’s entirely up to you. If you have the means, we welcome your support at any level. If you don’t, please know that cost has never been a barrier for schools or communities to access our programs.

To give you an idea: it costs us around $21.60 to bring our Upstander Program to one student, covering volunteers, staff, and travel.

Based on this, we suggest schools consider a donation of around $10 per student where budgets allow. Every contribution, big or small, helps us inspire the next generation of Upstanders.

Fundraise for C2C

Turn your passion into real impact by raising funds for Courage to Care. From charity walks to family events and personal milestones, we make it easy to partner with us for a special occasion or purpose.

Each and every dollar you raise helps spread awareness about the importance of standing up to prejudice and supports our mission of Creating the Next Generation Upstanders.

How can I get involved?

Simply fill out our contact form and select the “Fundraise for C2C” option. Tell us a little about yourself and what’s inspired you to raise funds.

We’ll then ask for a photo or two and create a personalised fundraising page just for you. Once it’s ready, we’ll send you a link you can share with family and friends to spread the word and start raising support - it's as easy as that!

Attend our Annual Fundraiser

One of the best ways to support us is by joining us at our Annual Fundraising Lunch. Held in March, our Annual Lunch is an inspiring event that brings our community together, gives an insight into what we’ve been up to, celebrates the impact of our programs, and raises vital funds to help us continue Creating the Next Generation of Upstanders.

How do I get tickets?

To secure tickets to our Annual Fundraising Lunch, subscribe to our newsletter and we will send out invitations and ticketing links well in advance of the event.

Gift a Donation

Does someone you care about have a birthday or special occasion coming up? Honour them by making a donation in their name. Just give us a call on (02) 9321 6301 and we’ll arrange everything – including a personalised certificate you can share with them.

Can I also do this on your website?

Yes, you absolutely can! Simply go to our Donation page and in the field that says 'Your Message' on the donation form, tell us the full name of the person you want to gift the donation to.

We'll then confirm everything with you and check if you want to send the certificate yourself or have us send it on your behalf.

Become a Member

Joining as a member is more than a donation — it’s a commitment to being part of the strong and supportive community behind our organisation.

Courage to Care NSW members enjoy voting rights at our AGM, invitations to free talks and events, and discounted tickets to our annual fundraising event.

How do I become a member?

To become a member of Courage to Care NSW, subscribe to our Newsletter! We will send out details on how to obtain membership each year.

Leave A Gift In Will

Many of our passionate supporters choose to leave a gift in their Will to Courage to Care NSW. A Gift in Will – also known as a bequest – ensures that your values live on through our mission of Creating the Next Generation of Upstanders.

By leaving a legacy, you’re helping to guarantee that future students learn from the stories of Holocaust Survivors and are inspired to stand up against prejudice and discrimination for generations to come.

What are the legal and adminstrative steps?

Leaving a gift in your Will is simple and deeply meaningful. Here’s what’s involved:

Decide the type of gift – You may choose a specific amount, a percentage, or a residual gift (what remains after other gifts are distributed and members of your family are provided for). A residual gift often has the greatest long-term impact.
Seek professional guidance – Ask your solicitor or estate planner to prepare or update your Will.
Include our details – Provide your solicitor with our full name and ABN:
