COURAGE TO CARE is a not-for-profit organisation that is led and operated by a dedicated team of volunteers. More than 200 volunteers come from all walks of life, different cultural and religious backgrounds, and all age groups to direct their considerable energies into educating young Australians toward a more tolerant and caring society.
Under the direction of our Program Manager, volunteers fill every role in the organisation: as educators, publicists, logistics geniuses, supervisors, facilitators, guides, survivors, trainers and mentors, administrative and back room assistants, even booking wizards. All are dedicated and skilled people who demonstrate professionalism and dedication to the Australian community.
Some of our volunteers are themselves Holocaust survivors, whose testimony of their experiences during the Holocaust – and of the extraordinary acts of the Righteous Among the Nations who saved them – imparts a powerful message to visitors and students.
Courage to Care provides on-going training for volunteers, and opportunities to hone their natural skills and to develop new professional capabilities.
